Can the Tarot tell time?

The most difficult part of the Tarot has to do with timing.

Unlike astrology and numerology, the Tarot does not lend itself to exact timing. This is one of the reasons I prefer Tarot to other disciplines : I believe that the point of power is in the present and that the future is "plastic" and can be influenced , in part, by one's will and intention.

This being said : time is one of the questions I get the most.

When will a particular event happen? When will I meet the love of my life? When will I get the promotion or change job? When will I get married or pregnant?

I abide to two timing methods.

One is to pull the cards until I reach an ace. Before I proceed, I decide that the cards represent days; then I count the number of cards I turned over before getting to an ace.

The other is to work only with the minor arcana and ask the consultant to give me a number from 1 to 56 (there are 56 minors in the Tarot deck).

I will then pick the card.

The key to the system is: wands = spring, cups = summer, pentacles = autumn, swords = winter.

An ace then represents the 1st week of the season; the Queen represents the 13th week of the season. Kings represent transition from one season to the next.

The issue with time frames.

This being said, I always tell the consultant that time frames can always be changed through intent and desire and that timings given by the Tarot are indicative.
